Composition is OK. But pic not sharp. Tired to find the focus point. Resize/compression problem ?

Not easy to shoot a large spray. Faded beauty some more. Well done!
Good title that brought out the brown dried flower into focus. |

Thanks for the feedback.
In terms of shooting set up, orchid was in shadow, 710pm, last shot of the day. ISO100, f22/1sec, 100mm macro, and tripod. The slide is sharp despite the 1sec exposure. The Provia slides were scanned, cropped, and sharpened for the scanning process. Its pretty much the original exposure. Fuzziness could be due to conversion of TIFF scans to JPEG and I was using a low setting on PS "save as web" to get a larger pic into 100kb. I think if I darkened a small amount to reduce the contrast on the white orchids it would've help to bring out some of the Orchids for the web file. Will kiv for next time.... |
