Default BnS posting being copied by other website

    Hi People,

Recently i posted to BnS, selling a lens and it was sold... i closed the thread. Then today someone told me that he saw my posting at sg-camera-mall (remove '-') although i never post to that website. They even copied the photo that i posted.

Is there a way to remove my post in CS buy and sell?

    Thank you.

There are web services with automated PHP and MySQL bots / crawlers that systematically indexes threads and postings (especially those in Marketplace forums) before replicating it on their own sites.

Nothing anyone here can do about even if the thread is closed and deleted.

Not only in BnS, other posting website like gumtree etc too.
Some of my gumtree posts were being copied to other site. Some of those are outdated post which already deleted, but once awhile keep have ppl contact me regarding those "deleted" post.

I was thinking to put the contact number in photo and link the photo (i.e. using photobucket). Since we cannot delete the thread in BnS, after the deal is completed, just remove the photo from photobucket.

But I noticed the 'Bots' also copied the photos... >_<

That why have to be careful when putting any personnel contact online in anywhere.
