    It is a bit surreal.

If he is on the run from an arrest for double murder, then what was he doing at a Danga Bay restaurant at 11.30pm?

He slashed the elderly Mr Tan and drove the Camry that dragged the Mr Tan's 42 year old son for about a kilometer. That may leave forensic evidence which identify him.

You might as well say, being a police he should have known to clear up the mess without leaving traces of forensic evidence?

Actually have you guys ever wonder how our police can make arrests so fast in cases like this and recent ones at Cineleisure slashing, vandalism at Cenotaph/sticker lady, the guy who hid inside Cineleisure toilet with M16 but didn't manage to nab Selamat? Can only think of one reason

A bit OT, but our police/prison wardens not so useless. Especially not the Gurkha i/c, who are top soldiers. No proof but likely just a double agent thing and the "escape" was a wayang - that was very badly explained with a ridiculous story.

i believe someone mentioned that the time to collect evidence is what allowed the criminal to escape. do you really think that those "police" shows on TV really reflects the truth of how evidence can be processed within minutes? and even so, proper procedures to arrange for the arrest could have taken time. you can't just insist that the malaysian police instantly capture him. a warrant for his arrest has to be made as well.

so please, stop watching american cop dramas

not quite. it could be a crime that was committed in the heat of the moment. the culprit's state of mind could have been messed up, leading him to make a series of mistakes that led to his arrest.

Or he was there to meet a friend or relative and ask for help/money to flee further away.

Ok, found one. Sounds a bit kinky.

An SPF source revealed that that the suspect was believed to be romantically involved with Chee Heong and the motive behind the murder could be revenge.

"The SPF is not ruling out the possibility that this may be a crime of passion."

"Police are keen to contact Singaporean Iskandar Rahmat (Singapore national registration identity card number S790436A) to assist in investigations."

Unfortunately for him, Danga Bay got many plain clothes MLY police.

Tell him next time don't go upmarket restaurants; instead go to Jalan Wong Ah Fook coffee shops.
