I think Wide converters more important for my FZ5.
But so far, I dont see any compatible "adaptor" for FZ5 yet. Those Wcon also seem to cost a bomb. |

I tried a Wcon at the shop opp CP@PP.. 0.45X.. tested 3 photos, all no vigenetting.. was quite impressed.. a bit of barrel distortion though..
was impressed by the price too.. $180 or so i think... Very tempted to buy... but... better curb my spending.. just went today to get a reporter 100 + R72 55mm.*forgot to mention, the super wide angle con i tried was for 55mm, so no step up or down or anywhere adapter needed... |

well it's 200+++ originally, the guy offer me 180 reporter 100: lowepro bag, all weather, a bit bigger than what i need with my FZ5, top loading. R72, infra-red filter. need sun etc. look at dominator's thread for samples |

Hmm..
I thought 3rd party adaptors offers some advantages. eg. doesnt block light from the flash as much as the original adaptor. then there is the metal vs plastic thread discussions. I think the FZ5 is needing a WCon. I am also thinking if i need a CP filter CameraFZ5 ->adaptor->CP filter ->wide angle converter or CameraFz5 ->adaptor -> wcon -> cp filter |

Any comments on various brands of converters? I know there is alot of talk about the Olympus WCON 0.7, what about other brands. Seems like there are some at 0.45 and 0.5x (and cost cheaper?)
comments? And how much is a 55mm PL filter for fz5? Actually, while we are at this topic. What about filters? ND filter <-- is this necessary? Do you carry one of these all the time? I know the FZ5 has a 8sec max exposure time, so probably cannot ND too high ![]() so, thinking about gettings WA converter + some filters. recommendations? filters i think no need to get ND 1st...maybe PL/CP, i feel PL will be better. maybe can get unseen PL to compare with my CP filter.
Yup i'm thinking of WA too. sinlg, unseen, dominator...maybe more can get cheaper. ![]()
