    According to reports, a Dimage 7hi will be announced soon, probably at Photokina. Read the following discussions at the Unofficial Moderated Minolta Digital Camera Forum:

    New features for the 7hi:

    PC Sync built-in.
    Color space selectable for each picture.
    Color profile embedded in output image file.
    Extra Fine Mode with a compression ratio of 1/2.5 (no ECON. mode).
    15 second shutter speed in Manual mode.
    Improved high-speed continuous advance (2560x1920):
    Up to 10 frames at 3fps in Fine.
    Up to 7 frames at 3fps in Extra Fine
    Up to 5 frames at 3 fps in RAW.
    Up to 3 frames at 3 fps in Super Fine.Customizable user interface (the following items are customizable from the “set-up” menu:
    Memory recall method.
    Control dial in M mode.
    Bracketing.
    Manual shift.
    Color profile.
    Dialogue default on the delete confirmation screen.
    Undo function for P re-set.
    9 white-balance positions; the fluorescent white-balance setting has been replaced with two settings, fluorescent 1 (corresponding to the previous fluorescent) and fluorescent 2 which is for daytime fluorescent lighting. Also, there are now three custom white balance settings.
    High-grade, black finish.
    Rubber grip for easier holding.
    Supports PIM II.

    How does EVF determine whether it's a prosumer digicam? I assume you were hoping for it to be a D-SLR?
