Regardless of the specs, it seems I don't qualify to upgrade. My current contract ends only on Aug 2006.

But the problem is can u sell the laptop at $1k?
Will it be like those Xbox? Everywhere giving out free until no one want to buy.

    Btw one question..

I checked that MOL 2000 has a upload speed of 256Kbps which is 32KB/sec... When did they change from 15KB to 32KB?

I guess if you need the speed, you'll most probably be a g33k and have a router somewhere in the corner...

just wondering, those with MO2000, 6500 etc, what do you do with your bandwith most of the time?

Am using MO2000, and though its not as fast as a real T3 connection, with estimated 200kBs, i can download ~700MB/hr. Thats ~ 15Gig/day. And upload ~100MB/hr, 2.4G/day. That is assumming when you download, the other server can keep up with you.

I'm guessing all MO lines are T3, its just capped now, to slowly release and make more $. With 1Mbs upload, it is still not good enough to be a server, and will surely jam if say 100 people dl at the same time.

IMO, I wonder why one wld need such a large bandwidth,...unless one is running a 'frenly distro biz'? or sharing the bandwith with 2-3 other households X 2-3users/household.?hehe
