    Default fungus free dry cabinet...

    just wondering, how does one check to see if a dry cabinet is fungus free?
    does anyone know?
    what are the steps to take to check its fungus free and maintain it that way?

    The dry cabinet usually comes with a hydrometer. Set the humidy level at about 45% to prevent fungus growth on optics.

    sSme of the dry cabis come with analog hygrometers, this type may not be too accurate.
    To be safe, can buy a seperate electronic hygrometer to double-check.
    And can also use to "calibrate" the analog meter.

    According to the manual, the recommended RH% is 40% to 50% for cameras, so at such low RH%, fungus growth should be nil. Mine is set at ~45%.
