Default Butterflies with ZD50mm

hi guys, just saw some sample taken with the ZD 50mm macro lens at dpreview. very very beautiful!! now i know my nikkor 55mm AIS totally cannot compare.

need to BUY! BUY! BUY! perhaps?

i must add that the bokeh is one the the best i have ever seen!!

let me put it this way, the Zuiko Digital 50mm prime lens is probably the sharpest digital lens in the market, irregardless of brand. and it gives one of the best color rendition too. simply amazing considering the price.

Sorry, is this the ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 3? And how much is that when you say cheap? I am thinking of getting some brighter lenses...

I believe is is priced from $850~$9xx.

u can try calling the shops for a more accurate pricing.

can be use for both macro and protrait. excellent lens.

Thanks for your help in answering my questions. Looks like this is the additional lense that I will like get. I need to learn my 14-45 first. But the 3.5-5.6 is irking me currently.

dun let the 'slowness' of this lens fool you...
photozone did a review of it here...

and it does surprisingly well... especially when compared to other kit lenses like
the canon 18-55 they also reviewed here...

btw dun compare the two mtf directly.... thier on diff scales depending on camera...
