Default SanDisk Extreme III 2 or 4GB CF card

Is SanDisk Extreme III 2 or 4GB CF cards the fastest in the market?
Anyone knows the prices?
Has anyone tried them b4? Better than Lexar Pro 2 or 4GB CF Cards?

Extreme 3 claimed to have a speed of abt 20mb/s. 4GB CF cards have a lot of type, Sandisk, Lexar WA (abt 12mb/s), Kingston Elite Pro (read 10mb/s, write 8mb/s), Sandisk Ultra 2, Sandisk Extreme 3 (abt 20mb/s), Hitachi Microdrive (abt 12mb/s)...

All different read & write speed...

Correct me if i'm wrong...

But if the type is the same, whether it's 2gb or 4gb capacity should have the same performance right?...

Talking

A friend of mine just had his 4GB Extrme III card crash in the camera - right in front of us. Just failed halfway through the shoot for no reason - he had to switch to the SD card. Another reason to have a MK II body....

If that's the case, get 2 pieces of 2 GB lor ... slightly cheaper and can spread out the risk ...

Not really....

I got mine for less than $400.

But I agree with Adam. Buy 2 2GBs if you are doing critical work. And if you run out of memory space, there is always the SD card slot.
