Default IMAC calibration

Hi people,

I just recently switched to an IMAC (20" G5). I am wondering how accurate is the monitor colors off the shelf?

Should I get something to calibrate it? The colors look pretty good and my prints from my canon i9950 match pretty well using iphoto to print. I am just wondering if anyone of you have calibrated your IMAC LCD (using hardware) and did it make any difference?

I don't know if you can calibrate an IMac manually or not. With the previous IMacs, you can't. Yes, get a Spyder 2 at least. If you have the budget, the Eye-One Display 2 is nice. I have the older Eye-One Display and I love it.
