Default C-720UZ - Noisy during power on

I just brought this unit last saturday. Just use this unit about 3 days only. Every time when I power on this camera I heard some noise comeout from camera, aspecially the Lens. Not loud but can heard clearly.

any body here can tell me what happen? is it a normal situation during power on?

If it come out from the lense then is OK, Oly DC make noise when they push the lense out. I complain to Oly SGP B4 and they said it is due to some technology they use where the lense come out in 1 piece (i.e. for my C2040). Why don't you pop by the SEED and compare the noise to other Oly DC incase yours is diff, may be due to sand like Mpenza said.

thanks for you all reply. I had taken it to olympus service centre last week.

They said is normal sound because of all the material are using plastic, so the sound may abit loud.
I request for exchange the unit they bring out another one. That one more loud then my one.

Finally just bring it back........

Well, if my experience with my C700 was anything to go by.. the sound isn't really an issue...

It's ok lah.. can live with it right?
