    Walk down the side of the esplanade river towards the bridge, once hit the bridge, move to the left until you hit the area where cars descend towards suntec, there's a small steps going upwards, just climb those and walk till you reach the centre.

    However, if you note, there are heavy vehicles moving across from time to time, this will shake your tripod & camera thus causing blurry images.

    It’s too late to secure a good spot now.
    last minute question.
    can shoot from mount faber with tele-lens? good view? Can see or not?

    advice needed urgently, no time already….

    frm mount faber cannot lah.. too far, since the fireworks is firing from esplanade.
    u may try to secure a lot at the bridge or at the sheares bridge. or at Merlion's park. 50mm lens or wide angle lenses.

    thanks... didn't manage to catch your reply before I got out though.. spent some good amount of time before found the stairs to the bridge.
