    Default Canon Pro1 vs Nikon Coolpix 8800

    i m getting either
    Canon Pro1 vs Nikon Coolpix 8800

    both cameras are 8 megapixel
    Pro1 7x optical and 3.2x digital zoom to give a total 22x zoom
    8800 10x Zoom and 4 digital zoom

    basicially both r gd camera, but which 1 will u chose if u have a choose.

    maybe you could provide more criteria for your purchase? or more importantly what you are going to use it for, any previous equipment used etc. it would help others to provide their recommendations. have u also tried out the cameras at a shop to see which you liked more?

    personally, i would get the 8800 since i can reuse my flash on it plus i am more used to nikon kit.

    If its me, I would hold on first...the Pro1 quite old liao...tink ard 1yr old??....maybe got new replacement....

    I realli like the feel of the pro1 but the thing it is quite noisy at iso200 and 400.....

    ok, i m purchasing on behalf of my camp... my camp actually need a camera mainly for media production use, like for camp function
    my camp only have a Canon A80. n its nt in a gd condition. .

    i myself used to own a Canon G5.
    i wish to know more abt other ppl view on this 2 camera.

    i will be purchasing an external flash too(mainly for indoor event)

    any news on new release camera. (nt DSLR)

    i won't take digital zoom into account. but you're forgetting 8800 offers VR which is a good thumbs up.
