How do i get the 35mm equivalence?
2) I am confused with the focal length multiplier and how it relates to wide angle setting value?
Thanks in advance.

Try this for starters --> http://www.luminous-landscape.com/tu...dslr-mag.shtml
Do a search on Google with "Digital SLR crop factor" as a search term, a few well written articles available.

Ok, i noiw understnad the diff betwn DSLR and 35mm equivalent cameras.
I would like to further pursue my question on 35mm equivalence? How do we get the 35mm equivalence of a camera?
This is pertaining to normal cameras and not DSLR.

Not sure what you mean by this question.
By normal camera, are you referring to digicams (P & S) vs DSLRs?
Because if you are referring to 35mm FILM cameras, then 35mm equivalence is irrelevant, since 35mm film IS 35mm.

The 35mm equivalent focal length of a digicam is simply the focal length on a 35mm film camera that will give you the same field of view.
