Need to reconfirm guys...
Kindly help... This 3600 for A200 cab only do Flash firing is it? I cannot do High Speed Sync. I cannot do wireless. What i dont understand is why the remote flash cannot work? I thought that slave flash triggering is by light only. No relation with wireless functions. Actually i need this slave triggering... Any idea? the manual of the flash is so unhelpful worse in the A200 manual... bleehhh... help help |

I'm not sure about HSS, but yes, wireless flash doesn't work.
Minolta's wireless flash mode or remote flash mode (same thing), just like wat nikon and canon introduced recently, are not dumb slave flash mode, altho light is used as the signal, the light from the camera's flash actually tells the flash when to fire and how much power to use etc etc. (You can adjust the flash compensation on the camera and the off camera flash will obey) Anyway, this is the limitation of the A200... That's some ppl still bought the A2 despite having a newer A200 on the market. |

I have the 3600, it definitely can do HSS & wireless.
The wireless mode only works with Minolta cams that has wireless. It does not act like a slave that just fires upon any other cameras' flashes. but I am afraid that A200 does not support the wireless function. If you want to use wireless with the A200, you'll have to get the Sigma SuperDG which supports slave mode. I'm not sure if it will be compatible. 3600 specs -> http://konicaminolta.com/products/co...flashes.html#b Here's a good read about Minolta wireless for some understanding, http://www.friedmanarchives.com/flash.htm but it talks more regarding to the 5600. HSS...?? nobody now? I am not sure what this is... How to check... basically WL and HSS i cannot light on the LED... I only check 1/1600 to 2s shutter and all works quite okay.. i compare the histogram... |

Ran through the A200 PDF manual, HSS was not mentioned at all just like wireless... Maybe it's not supported just like Wireless...

There's no shutter curtains in digicams and therefore they can sync with flash at any speed without the need for HSS mode.
Cheers! |
