Step-up adaptor to 52mm will definitely block the in-built flash. No doubt abt it. The original Sony adaptor which converts to 30mm will cause an ugly black circle around ur framing at its widest angle (but it can be avoided once u zoom out ur lens). Not sure abt 37mm adaptors thou.

There is adaptor which connect to 37mm. It should not block the flash but the size of your conversion lens need to be small though.

suggest u get 37mm, 3 advs:
won't block the flash, smaller & easier to carry and much cheaper filters.

Thanks. but if i use a 37mm teleconverter, it might have dark ring appear in the image.

don't think that will happen as the W5 lens is quite small. just make sure the adaptor tube you buy is of the right length. people only get vignetting (dark ring) at wide angle only when the tube is too long or the filter used is too thick.

Best is to test the adaptor ring + filter with ur cam at the shop before buying. Safest bet.
