My very newbish shots of the place, I didn't manage to catch much birds today on April 15th. Reached there around 8:30am... Did I come at the wrong time? Any comments are also welcomed.

wrong season.... if you can reach earlier, it's better.

Regarding photographing/spotting shorebirds, you are partly right...now is the tail end of the migratory season and most of the migratory visitors have left our shores already. Best also to visit SBWR when the low tide coincides with the early morning, or late evening, you can spot more wading or shorebirds this way.
