they were in a flock of 15-20 birds.....don't think they are escapees. perhaps they flown over from Indonesia or somewhere. anyway these fellas are everywhere in the east side of our island. changi, tampines...etc. i have a friend who saw a flock of 14 birds nesting up a tree near her block in Queenstown !!!!!!! ![]() |

They have become resident already, just like the parakeets.. these uys can also be seen at West Coast Park and of coz the famous Changi Village.

The bird in question is a Tanimbar Cockatoo which is an introduced species in Singapore. It's natural home range is in parts of Eastern Indonesia.

Some escapee Sulphur-crested Cockatoos are also starting to establish themselves in the Changi area, sometimes the 2 species will flock together. |
