My friend is selling me his 1-year old contax N1 pls CZ 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 T*,asking 2K,should I be taking it?
I saw the Cam,it's in perfect condition.
juz not sure about its market value

No,new from BH store is <1500 new,cos contax Zeiss price drop.
Anything<1300 for me is ok if a mint used one.
Why dont u buy used G1/G2/28/45/90 set,any time better than N1 set in image quality,and faster speed.Dirt cheap also.
I compared them and decided G2 set.

u mean the N mount Carl Zeiss is not as good as the MM/AE mount? is it becos made in japan vs made in germany? sorry, i have no knowledge on contax/CZ stuffs.

If not mistaken MM/AE mount are older. Contax came out a newer N mount when it planned to venture into DSLR but unfortunately the plan was a failure. N1 and Nx are the only two SLRs from Contax that are capable to autofocus. Both of them using the N mount. Furthermore N mount lenses are limited in choice unless you plan to get an adapter and use the Contax 645 lenses.

My test
canon 50/1.4=3
CZ 50/1.4 for contax SLR=2
G 45/2 for contax G2 range finder=1

N1 zoom cant equal to CZ prime right??
