The Panasonic forum organised an outing to the TreeTop on 16/04.
    We had great time.
Icarus got the cute little sleeping owl shot. Certainly worth visiting for.

And DRINK PLENTY OF WATER and clear your bowel at the Ranger station. That's the only 'legal' toilet available (if u know wat i mean).
    good advice.

The trip can be made more interesting for the fit:

    a. Drive up to entrance near SICC, unload and driver park the car at Venus Drive -the legal carpark.
    b. Visit both the tree-top walk and the jelutong tower, and exit at Lornie road after the golf course.
    c. Take a bus back to Thomson road.

    For the calorie burners....

    d. Loop around the Macritchie reservoir on leg back to Venus drive - not for children. Youngest child to accomplish this is 9 years old.
    or
    e. After the tree top walk, hike to Bukit Timah hill and take a bus/taxi back.
    - youngest child to accomplish this is 6 year plus. Interesting, tough for young children & must have water top up break at the range station.

Went with daugther (2+ then), father- and mother-in-law (59 both), 6kg+ of photo gear and another 3kg of food and water. Started at 9am at Macritchie Park entrance near Braddell road, reached the bridge at noon time (hot). Daughter carried 60% of the way. Nice tree top scenery, but the neighbouring trees are all way too far out for close-ups. Hike under shade is pretty OK (breeze and shade temperature) but humid and hot when the sun hits. After the suspension bridge, walked another 2 hours and escaped via SICC, then took taxi to meet wife and son for a late lunch at 2:30pm.

As said earlier, start early, bring water (1 L bottle, can refill at ranger station), bring rain shelter, dress light.

    2) Joseph + 1F
    3) Lisa
    4) PP-Sean (Photog)
    5) CS-NMSS (Photog)
    6) CS-TAVY (Photog)

I just bought a 28-200mm G. Less than $600. Keen to test them out. My first non-kit zoom lens.

Hi to all, I'm really really sorry about tomorrow but I can't make it. My flight today was cancelled (engine problem) and I can only reach Singapore tomorrow. Maybe you guys and still go ahead.
