Default JC Penney, Cato Fashions, the British retailer Primark, Benetton, WalMart

    Violent protests follow Bangla collapse

Benetton-labelled clothes found at Bangladesh site

Why are the clothing retail chains portrayed in a bad light?

Even if the US/UK/European retail chains had paid a lot more to their Bangla suppliers for the garment products, it only means that the latter earn bigger profits. It does not mean that the Bangla factory owners would automatically improve the safety standards of their factories or pay their Bangla garment factory workers more.

The responsibility lies solely with the Bangla government to:

improve working conditions in their sweatshop factories
mandate and implement checks for safe factory buildings - and punish business owners who flout
stipulate minimum wages to prevent exploitation

Because for anything, must blame the ang mohs. I'm sure you're familiar with that mentality.

Bangladesh Official: Disaster Not ‘Really Serious’

    So when is it serious?

Bangladesh Building Collapse Death Toll Tops 500; Engineer Whistleblower Arrested

That night Khan appeared on a private television station saying that after his inspection he told Rana to evacuate the building because it was not safe.
Bangla authorities arrested the engineer who confirmed building was not safe and (before the collapse) told building owner to evacuate it?

Foreign garment retailer companies plan to examine the structural integrity of factory buildings in Bangladesh. Wow.
Is not the Bangladesh government elected by Bangladeshi citizens, supposed to look after such building code regulatory matters?

C'mon, you know best that not every government is elected by the citizens .. or let's say, the influence through elections is somewhat limited
