Default Does this one consider IR capable???

Sorry, I read the FAQ and tried out the mixing with Red and Blue channel. My pic turned out out be totally blue. Upon reading in Dpreview forum, I did some processing of converting the Picture to only Black and white only. This is the picture I got finally. Can someone tell me whether my cam is IR capable??? Thanks!

I am using D7D, Am I supposed to see the red beam in the viewfinder or when after the pic is taken? Thanks...

Have you done a CWB on your camera before taking the shots?
Did your pictures turn out reddish or is it of a sepia tone?

To me, the pictures that you post are defiantly IR.

I think that IR pictures SHOULD be b&w as it's not in the spectrum of colours you can see.

Ya I did a CWB on the blue sky, the D7D configured as error but the pic did turn out to be redish...So it's IR capable?

Thanks Catchlights, It's ok.. I just want an answer whether my Cam is capable of taking IR pics. It seems that it can do a IR BW pics only... I wonder if is it possible to do what I have seen in others. Eg. Blue sky with snowish looks on the trees and grass. Thanks for your replies.

Hi tokrot,

Have you tried taking a CWB setting on a section of "well sun lit" grass" or leaves of a tree ??.

If not, then try that for your CWB amd then try your shots again, but outside rather than from through a building

Try to get a little of the sky into the shot also.

It would be interesting to see how your camera takes it.

Cheers
