Amazing and shocking. Didn't expect it to be so ex. So the street price would then be in the early 6K+? Cheaper to get in the US in that case.

It is not much cheaper in US. It is listed US$3.5k at BH Photo, throw in shipping and gst, the price is also around S$6k.

SGD6000 I can probably get a Pentax 67 II with waist viewfinder, normal lens, a wide angle lens and a portrait lens. Most important of all the quality is better.

I thought would be S$5k+ close to S$6k. Maybe should really save up & just go for the D2X  |

Not much of a price point diff from D2X,....wonder what Nikon is thinking this time? I mean if ppl have the mula, would'nt they just consider the D2X a better bet?

It depends on what you need the camera for. Of course with that sum of money, you can always get something else. No point comparing.
