Default SC 28/SC 29 Flash Sync Cable

Hi nikonians,

Can anyone advise on which is the better flash sync cable to obtain (not using the word buy as ESPN is drawn to this word like bee to honey)..

What are the differences between them ? Why SC28 or SC29 ?
Also, I have a SB26, pardon a newbie's ignorance, but how to I make use of this with my D70 if I were to purchase a SB800 in future..

Thank you!

SC29 has an additional AF illuminator while the SC28 doesn't.

You can also use a SC17 for the same purpose, only difference is that it lacks the centre hole for the locking pin which gives a more secure lock with a SB800.

Your SB26 can still be used as a slave flash, or in Auto mode.
