    All the current cameras of popular brands are of very high quality including those classified under 'Entry level'.
    Read the manual thoroughly. Try all the settings if you can.
    Do not use the camera if you are not familiar with especially when you are using it for a special ocassion e.g. a wedding.
    Those reviews given by professional are only useful when you send your photos for competition else you will not be able to tell the differents.
    Last but not least.. buy within your mean.
    The rest is you, opportunity and timing!

    a small real lame joke, really happen on mi...

    once my teacher asked mi, if i do astro photography (shooting stars).
    i told my teacher, my cam very power, no need good weather also can shoot star. as it is too easy, so i am not really keen to shoot stars nowadays.
    my teacher was a bit blur when hearing this.
    i then said, my digital camera with the lens cap, can generate whatever star pattern you want when exposal is longer than 10 seconds.
    he stunned for few seconds then started laughing...


    (the stars on the picture are noise...)
