Monopods

Hi Guys. Would like to know just how effective the monopod is. Is it possible to avoid image blur at 1/25 sec with the DSLR mounted on a monopod?

be nice if you would like to put down the lens you using it with. otherwise, I can handhold 1/25 with my kit lens

when using with my 180mm macro, I still can manage at the min. 1/80.. but I prefer above 1/125s

Thanks ....

That saves you only about 1/2 f-stop.
