Hi everyone,
Did any one notice if when you use the flash, the recoil of the internal flash opening is too strong during pop out and it actually hits the end and rebouces back abit before it fully open out? Is it normal of it is time for me to bring it back to Service center to reduce some stress on the spring? ![]() |

Yea it's strong alright. I usually put a finger there to "catch" the flash.

i feel my 20D flash pops out hard too, so as what lutz say, i normally use my finger to block the flash as it pops out and then slowly let is move to the full height...

strange, wouldn't you just adjust the FEC setting which should suffice?
Well, I do occasionally smear my facial oil (yeah, I've got very oily face) over it to soften the flash... ![]()

Hi,
I have used the 300D, 350D and 20D at work (I sell them) and have noticed that they all flashes tend to snap up. I would believe it to be normal and imagine that Canon would test the activation many times, along with every other part of the proto type camera before they release it. Therefore, under normal use (what ever that is ) I would imagine it will last a long time.Cheers
