Default Swarovski Show

Pictures were taken this afternoon. Sorry for the background distraction due to use of a wide angle.

Default Hmmmm

Your photos lack sharpness and clarity. My guess (looking at your EXIF) is that you were shooting in the Program mode with the internal flash. A shutter speed of 1/60 is too slow when models are moving around.

I was there today and the light was quite good. I recommend Av mode with flash at Iso400. Set flash comp to about -0.5. Also, the f-stop should be lower than 4.5.

Maybe can use ISO 800 with flash -1 can get better result.

I think the models should wear dark clothing to enhance their product...

Thank you for the comments and suggestion. Will do so as suggested when the opportunity arises.

Pretty ok from the last 100% crop. My guess is that you did not apply USM or your favourite sharpening action after resizing for web. It is a must to re-sharpen to a certain degree more or less (sometimes more, sometimes less, sometimes no need at all, really depends) after resizing to a smaller res.

Think you can check out luminous landscape, they explained the reason behind it very clearly.

Actually, critically speaking, your last close-up pic 100% crop is oversharpened... Coz it ain't that sharp, and those reflective speckles will only be sharpened while the other areas cannot (blurred areas cannot be sharpened even if you do 500%/1.0/0). This case, blur means blur already, need to resize smaller for better results.

Default Av Mode

Here is one of my shots from that day.... taken in the Av Mode with fillflash. Edited with a correct workflow. Canon gear... sorry.

Default You missed it

April 3rd was the last day. I can tell you (first hand) that there were only 7-8 local non-pro photogs there who behaved themselves impeccably. No one missed the gang of goofballs with ladders, stools, tripods, camping equipment, etc.

The models came out afterwards in street clothes. No one snapped them or harrassed them..... how nice!
