Default my sunrise pics (newbie first post)

    hi people,

here are some pictures I took using my new D70 this morning. I am a complete newbie to photography. Hope to get some useful comments on how to improve.

Anyway will it hurt my D70 if I point it at the rising sun to take pictures??? It has a hoya MMC UV filter on.

pictures are cropped in fireworks and exported as high quality jpeg.

here is a link to an unedited pic. (2.2 meg) How sharp do you think my full pic is? I have no experience so I dun know exactly how sharp is considered sharp. From my newbie eyes not very sharp leh

quite sharp. can even make out the aeroplane. you should shoot something with a bit more definite contrast if you want to see sharpness.
