why do you need to wash the bag? I've never tried washing my lowepro but I believe it's very hard to completely dry it after washing it.
Just vacuum away the dust inside will do for me.

I handwashed my nova 3 before. It took about 2-3 weeks for the bag to be completely dry. But then that was in december, rainy season.
As for the internal padding, mine was already rather seasoned. But still i didn't notice the padding becoming any softer. |

Hi jeffhiew,
Why not you try try... Then tell us OK or not. Hahahaha Seriously, think the washing machine will be worse off and your bag not much cleaner... cuz most washing machines make the most use of the clothes "scrubbing" each other to get rid of the dirts... how is that going to happen inside your bag? And if you are concern about internal paddings... why not throw in a couple of those (removable) paddings during a normal wash to try out?

This is what works for me:
1) Hand wash, hang to drip dry for a day. 2) Next, if u have a vehicle, throw it into the car and park under the sun for a couple of hours, gurantee dry dry 3) If no vehicle, continue to hang near the window or wait long long ![]() Hope this info helps ![]() |

wouldn't that make the car smelly?
maybe since got a car, try 'airing' it... hang it to the exterior of the car, and go for a spin... ![]()

I have many times machine washed my "Trim Trecker". There are some "do's and don'ts" that I follow so as to make sure that it dries fast and washes properly: 1. Take all the paddings away and put them in the "safe-wash" net. That way the bag cleans well and the paddings do not wear from the wrap. 2. Remove all the clips and belts so that they can wash properly and keep them from messing with the bag wash. 3. Don't use hot or warm water, but good old plain tab water (not very wise to put the bad under a lot of heat). 4. Make sure that you keep the bag and zips open when drying so that air can "go through", else drying will take a long time. Amount of time to dry? When kept open etc it dried within 1/2 day in Phon Peng, I give it a day in Singapore - but of course it would all depend on the kind of day, and the amount of breeze. Why wash it in the first place? Because sometimes the amount of dirt and dust that one collects when travelling rough, is well beyond the imagination of one who only travells the streets of Singapore, once I looked like a Santa from the amount of dust that I collected ![]() Hope that helps -- Marios |

Hey Marios, Thanks for the tips. After machine washed, my bag is now good as brand new. |
