thanks. sincere thread here not coffee shop confession thread. meow.
By the way I suspect you will get funnier responses if people just PM you and you post on their behalf.

That's the usual arrangement I think.

But no QR plate. Cos the day before lend to somebody else and forgot to put it back.
My L-bracket, custom plate are attach to the camera bodies permanently, and each bags have a allan key.

from than onward, I check and place memory cards inside the cameras before I go out.

a very good reason to shoot in RAW, and always chimp on monitor for important shots.

    during my timelapse outings,
from all the bad experiences, I learnt

    bring enough memory cards,
fully recharge batteries and bring extra batteries,
    switch off image preview,
remember to switch to manual focusing,
    remove filters for night shoot,
    get sturdy tripod,
    deploy tripod on sturdy ground,
bring a white plastic bag to cover camera when shooting under the sun,

Yea..quite common 1 for me is forgot to switch back the ISO.. Or sometimes the Exposure comp. I had no problem with memory card though. Since i always make sure i put it back into the camera after extracting out the pictures. Battery is ok too since i always place it beside the camera..cant miss it. Its the settings that i sometimes forgot to switch back. Some still ok....some are just horror.

Also to all bros and sis out there... if you happen to lend your cam to your friends, when their return you the cam (even if it was just only for a little while.), make sure that you check the setting.

I borrowed my cam once to a bro when we went shooting together once, he changed my ISO setting... I was still very green then, so didn't know, and when I receive my cam back, I happily carry on shooting... find it abit funny that I am still able to maintain a quite fast shutter speed even at f8 and lighting was not really that bright.

Go home... found that my shots are all pretty noisy... luckily, can save using PS.
I am not a photographer, just someone who happened to have a couple of cameras.

When i jump to the M4/3 world, I was so overly excited after I bought my GX1.
Pack lens, body and cards for a gathering next day... and come to realise i FORGOT the BATTERY the very next day.

I "charged" my battery overnight in the charger. Next day it was flat as it was initially.
That's because I did not turn on the power -__-

Borrowed 50 f1.4 from a friend. Shot wide open. Focused then recomposed. Shots came out oof. Blamed the lens for my ignorance...

The AF/M switch accidentally switch to manual focus and shooting for the whole night all photos OOF.

wake up in the morning, slightly late to take MRT for sunrise, thus taking taxi - half way from jurong west, on AYE, realise battery was left on the charger!
ask thew taxi driver to turn back and pick up.

    Lesson:
    1. Always wake up early for sunrise
    2. Always charge earlier if possible
    3. always check battery and memory card before leave

It just happened last year I was trying out film camera for my first time and I did not load the film properly. I took like 30+ photos and only had one exposure entire roll of film wasted.

i requested some members of landscape photo outing wait for me (i was running 15mins late) while I caught a bus to the meetup location, as i was afraid of losing my way

ended up that due to my 15mins of lateness we missed the sunset, the clouds covered the sky and all we had was blue hour (no golden hour).

I have since declined every FB invite to their events because of embarrassment!
