To the layman like me, it seems that Sue REALLY just screwed everyone. Waste everybody's time and money with totally inconsistent statements.

I also think that the prosecution argument kind of make sense. If you sleep with the vendor, it is on you to prove that there is no corruption. The judge does not think so leh. So to prove that there is corruption, what must you have? a written contract that the sex was for business deals?
Its a tricky business.. if the judge deliver a verdict without a strong evidence, the precedent can be used to start a witch hunt.. which we won't like..
He has to err on the side of caution.. I mean is there a definitive boundaries of proof that he didn't corrupt? Otherwise the prosecutor can just ask for more

no ah gay will not get his old job back - the civil service had deemed him to be a disgrace to the civil service, one without morals, and it was announced previously that even if he is acquitted, civil service will not take him back.

On 6.30pm news: Ministry of Home Affairs says that they started a disciplinary inquiry before the trial but with the trial, it was suspended. Now that the verdict is out, they will want to see if the AGC will appeal. Only when all that is clear, will the inquiry restart. And only when the inquiry is complete will the decision on his employment be known.

May be just a chess game. To emphasise to investors that we have rule of law.

    Judge acquits.
Prosecutor appeals. If they did not feel they had a strong case, they would not have gone to Court in the first place.
    High Court convicts.
    NBG's lawyer appeals.
    Court of Appeal upholds conviction.
    End of story.

Wait and see the above script play out.
