Minolta Users Gathering - 7th April, 2005 (Change of location)
Hi everyone, I'm proud to annouce the first official M.U.G. for 2005.
The poll revealed that most of you favoured Thursday to any other day of the week and so M.U.G. will be held on the first Thursday of each month. There's no discussion on whether if the gathering shall be postponed if Thursday happens to be a public holiday, we'll see. If you missed the very first gathering held at the end of 2004, this is the chance you shouldn't miss! The main reason of this gathering is to group us altogether on certain day to chit-chat, get to know one another better, share our main interest (especially Minolta owners), and not forgetting gear-talk. We may bring our gear down and you may do so, to molest/fondle and test for compatibility. This is also a good chance to find out from the gurus if any of the gear you've been deciding to buy is worth the bucks. Of course, not to miss out photo sharing session if there's any photos to "awe" upon. Do not feel shy to approach us, we are a bunch of friendly people willing to help one another. I welcome anyone to join in our gathering, whether or not if you're gonna jumpship to the "M" side or just too bored with no places to go. Most of us are in the working society, so at times we might be late for the gathering. We would most probably stayed till 10pm. Check out this thread for updates and I hope to see you there. Date: 7th April, 2005 (Thursday) Time: 7pm onwards Place: LaZatte Fusion Cafe [i]* Sorry about the change in location, due to the heavy renovation of Marina Square Shopping Mall, it is pretty inaccessible due to re-routing of walkways into the mall. Please help me to inform anyone whom you know is joining this gathering of the changes. Thank you. How to go there? Great job Don! I'll try to make it as long nothing urgent crops up.
Hey guys and gals, do bring your slides/notebook/prints to share too! Somehow talking about equipment and only equipment is pretty boring. I like to know how to improve my photography!  Maybe we can organise some outings later in the month too. |

Hee, don't worry lah, most, if not all, of us are dslr newbies! We were shooting film/A1/A2/Dimage 5/7 series blah blah half a year ago! (cos 7D's not out yet )Oh yeah, spurssy's not even bringing a camera. |

 it doesn't really matter if you do bring any gear with you, but if you are kind enough to bring, its good as we can talk about it and psycho you buy better ones, then we can use/test it.

Yes, bringing equipment will be good too. Nothing beats seeing equipment 1st hand and actually testing them out.
I'll probably be 1 of the minorities who will is still using film. Those with F2.8 or G lens, do bring them over. Will be glad to try them for myself. |
