    Unhappy adobe photoshop SGD1200

Well - I need this adobe photoshop cs 8.0 but its too expensive - does anyone know that it costs 1200SGD - I thought maybe there are educational versions which are about 600SGD - but I don't know if Singapore has them -

can someone kindly tell me how much I need to pocket out for adobe photoshop - OEM version? retail version? educational version? O I forgot about the "duplicated version"... haha

any recommendations? many thks - I'm a photoshop addict...

Consider free or cheaper alternatives to Photoshop?

Photoshop is too bludy expensive. Look at paint shop pro, PSElements, photo filtre, etc.

The Photoshop Elements program offers much of the functionalities of Photoshop CS, and is bundled (as far as I know) with some Canon cameras. You might be able to buy the disc off some of the CSers on the forum.

Education version costs $500+++ (just under $600) for Adobe Creative Suite, which includes:
    Photoshop CS,
    Illustrator CS,
    InDesign CS (page layout),
    GoLive CS (web design)
    Acrobat CS.

    Super value.

    BTW: CS means Creative Suite.
