hey good luck to you and perhaps you could update again whether is there any activity in Tromso during this period of time?

I'm planning to go end of this month or next month from Oslo.

day2: the activity this morning was thru the roof...but is masked by the heavy clouds and rain. Hope the trend continues this evening......

Should follow what some people do - Drive around, get out of the cloudy area... Maybe you might get some shots. The Kp seems ok this few days... But then, even with kp1 good sky may still see some aurora.

i was out everynite, driving to as far as the finnish border. its slightly dryer/less cloudy over there....

I have seen aurora of K=2s and K=6s..........the high K one are indescribable...they are everywhere in the sky and illuminates everything beneath it. the low k ones are faint, kind of misty and needs a camera to capture the colors. will deal with the raw files and post some pics soon.
