    you mean this NGO
    Save Malaysia, Stop Lynas!

and also, it's LYNAS' track record of poor radioactive waste disposal methods that the citizens are worried about, and the Government's lackadaisical attitude towards it.

Najib Abdul Razak got foresight! Thorium can be used in our future nuclear reactor, most probably owned by Malaysians and located in Malaysia as well.

Let's just say people have good reason to be extremely cautious whenever the government is involved.
On the other hand some are using this to gain political mileage.

According to Wikipedia, Lynas original plan was to build the Lynas Advanced Material Plant in Western Australia and it was approved. But the Malaysian government came along and offer it the Pahang site plus 12 year tax exemption "pioneer" status. Of course, Lynas went for it. Now this. So how? Should the Malaysian government renege on its commitment to an international business investor?

The Pahang plant was approved way back in 2008 (with little drama), but due to the upcoming GE politicians (as usual) have hijacked the issue.
The main problem is there is no specific, concrete plan on how to deal with the nuclear waste.

<Grammar nazi mode on>it's renege, not renegade<grammar nazi mode off>

The easiest way to dispose nuclear waste is to shoot it into the sun or out to outer space. After all, if aliens get disfigured, they can't possibly get uglier.

I know. It gained big momentum the past year or so because of GE.
Before that no one really cared. Now it's cool to be seen with a "Stop Lynas, Save Malaysia" shirt/tag.

Most likely, they will dump the waste to the environment.
Wind and water will "export" them to SG.

In the 80s, Mitsubishi dumped its toxic waste in Bukit Merah, Perak.

Remember the boy who got arrested for making bomb threats targeting MBS?

If Namewee made the song in Singapore, confirm the entire SOC will come crashing through his house complete with BDU / CBRE, K9, PTU and STAR teams.
