Sony DV and Macs

Hi

I have just bought a Sony DCR-TRV50E, mainly for home use, may use it for work, occasionally, but I found out to my surprise, that the bundled software doesn't allow me to capture movies to my Mac!
I checked on Apple's site and apparently iMovie is not compatible with this camera either!

Does anyone have any advice for me on how I can actually get this stuff onto my machine!?!
