Default Newbie's trip to Labrador Park

Posted first in Gallery, but seems like it isn't the best place to get advice, no reply...

I took these last December, but didn't have time to develop until recently.
The shots are uncropped, and went through the standard PS processing.

It was raining as I walked in from HarbourFront. The road leading in looked gloomy.

Fishing men always seemed quite interesting...

The mood felt like this as the sun set...

A last shot before I left:

All comments welcome
(I need a crash course in learning, not much time to shoot while I'm in NS )

TIA

Thanks all

Arcanic: I know about the dull colours and contrast, but I couldn't see a way to improve on it without changing the mood. I love shots of fishing people

fuzzy: I was using Superia X-TRA 400, but the scanned product had a greenish tinge. I Level-ed to make it warmer.

Any pointers as to how the first pic can be improved? It felt quite messy all along.

I like the last one. Maybe your pics need a little sharpening.

Thanks for the comments.

afbug: I think it's my lens, not the sharpest around, and even USM can't salvage the picture enough without showing signs of artifacts.

S11loop: Just got my posting, going to find out about what freedom I might have.

If you're in a stay-out unit, make the best of the nights to practice night shots . :P
