I must stress that : this is NOT an audition to form the next Led Zepp Others organize model shoot, I TRY to organise jamm-shoot....hahaaa.[/QUOTE]

Must stress again ( whoa , besoming very stressfull already leh) I do not intend to have any monetory gain from such 'outings' . It was a crazy idea and I'm glad it got you guys interested

Everythinig will be above the table, the studio rentals....or anything that we will share will be paid directly to the service provider...if anyone got better studios to recommend, please do so.

Bottomline: It all about having a good time.

Wah lao eh! Total disrespect to the bassists!!

There's at least 3 bassists who are hanging around in CS lor. Try and entice them into playing lah!

Sorry friend. You took it the wrong way.

I was refering to the group that was assembled at that point in time. Since noone is a true bassist, I just suggested the next best ting.

Anyway, we are not playing for the Queen so dun take it so seriously leh.

Ok, tossing this up before I summarise tonight:

    Song list:
    Going Down ( from G3 live )
The Spirit Carries On???(bring a choir team?)
jamm on a std 12 bar blues riff
Smoke on the Water/Child In Time
3 Minutes Warning -type of jamm ( take turns plugging into the amps?)
Unplugged session - Dust In the Wind?, More Than Words?, ...help me out here

My reason to shortlist these songs in becasue they are standards and are written for improvisation...moreover, not much 'rehersal' needed. Have time to take turn to play gtr also.

    Open for suggestions

    Going Down? WOO!!! GOOD!

Going down! Down, down, down, down, down...
She's gone! Gone, gone, gone, gone, gone...
La de da de da, la de da de da...

Hey, would forgot ACOS for the jamlist? CANNOT MISS LEH! And Learning to Live?

since there are so many axe players, i think we can have a LOT of petrucci-rudess/moore/sherinan duels - but the poor keyboard player will mati gong curry and suffer cramps for 2 weeks!

IMHO, divide into teams of musicians, like categorize into genres. That way most people get the chance to play.

    My 2 cents.

    Peace!!

    Hi Dudes/Dude-dess(if any),

Sorry did not summarised as promised. Forgot to bring laptop home

I hate to do it(catigorising music) but deathgame has a very pratical point. I am super overwhealmed by all your support to this idea, never expected this kindda response

I think we could post something like what the Sony Council is doing, ie, have their series of outings numbered.

So for the first round we could call it : 1st Jammasnap Session - ProgRok

then 2nd Jammasnap Session - ''''some other 'style' of music.....you get the idea.

However, this means we are excluding some of you, at least for the jamming part, this time due to 'creative differences'

Please understand it woudl be impossible to orgainize this sort of thig and please evryone in a single session.

Anyway, I think this thread is getting too long and may loose focus.

I recommend every one here to meet up to discuss how to organise this efficiently. As there are 2 parts to the sessions and the space constraints of the studio, we have to plan it so that every participant enjoys it and don;t get left out of the fun. Is this OK with you all?

man~ wish i was back home in sg :S then can jam with u all! hehe who said he can do James Labrie? haha~ need long hair and an exceptionally *bleah* voice. haha~ if DT had one member they could change, it would be him man :S IMO. haha

For organisation... i think it's best if you put down a name list and specify what genre of music you can do... along with what instruments you have... that'll help you organize stuff

I am closing this thread now.

Please PM me to confirm if you would like to meet up. I can;'t do this alone, hopefully this could be a start of a new sub-group in CS.

    Thanks for your support
