very strong first impression of contrasts and sharpness. what is the surface and is this a direct flash ? what distance between lens and subject ?

Ok I'll try to answer all your questions.

The moth is not dead but it is not active, don't know why.

It is on a car in a showroom and the car has metallic paint.

I don't have an external flash yet so I used built in flash so it is direct and the distance of the subject to the lens is about 40cm(can't remember exactly) but it is taken at full optical zoom at 12X.

The Nikon 4T is really something compared to my other cheaper macro close up lenses.

BTW, the moth looks darn scary. Showed to a female friend just now, and she almost vomitted her dinner out. But hey, that shows how sharp and detailed it is, yea?

    heh
    Look forward to seeing more

Very good shot Jacky! Good details, sharp and interesting composition. I thought it was taken at the beach! But in your previous post, you mention it was on a car?

    Anyway VERY NICE!

Thanks CY! Beach has so clear reflection meh? Anyway, I was inspired by you and had been hunting for bugs and insects and only found this recently.

Tankm, I have a front shot but the shot is not so good! I'll see what I have left in my camera and will post the 2nd best here soon. Thanks for your kind comment too.
