The familiar sound that breaks the morning quietness at LangMuSi (郎木寺)

it's true, it isn't a religious crime to have hair in Buddhism, the shaving of hair is more a symbolic gesture than a strict rule. Monks in the tropics are more likely to keep to this rule due to hygiene and cleanliness reasons also.Hosea: #1 is a good shot

the more i look at #1 the more i like it ... photogs usually like to portray lamas as mysterious and strict, actually they are pretty much the same as us, often quite fun loving also happened to have some close interaction with two last year

As mentioned by Otega, a WA from a low angle will probably work better for 1st pic. Also, shd avoid cutting off part of the horn at the bottom.
Good travel pics! :P |

hope I would not got a "blow" from the horn. I was not on the same platform as them, about a storey below using a zoom..too freezing to change lens then. The crop was due to the kerb on the platform , it serves as a rest for the horns. Last edited by Hosea; 17th March 2005 at 03:42 PM. |
