The sample pictures are taken in Singapore! Great image quality IMHO! |

Hmmm...maybe fuji (singapore) didn't take Phil out for dinner.

It doesn't seem like a huge leap over the S2. It's major downside is it's price. Unless it dips below the $3000 mark, this cam doesn't really represent a worthwhile buy at the current street prices. I personally find the removal of the CR123 batteries the greatest feature of the S3
Man, I hate having to carry extra ones, and they just die off without any warning, unlike the AAs. |

Give it a few months, I'm sure the price will drop a little by then. Hope I can afford one soon.

using RAW mode + Adobe Camera RAW is so good.
at least S3pro has proven that their SuperCCD technology works! but in a limited way thou, with help from Adobe Camera RAW. |

I think it's important to note that the above average rating is given to the S3 based on its "all-rounded" capabilities. For those who are not bothered by write speed, FPS, yad yad yad...your personal rating might be higher.
IMO, it's really about choosing a camera that can do what you want it to do. I believe that it's the only DSLR that can do b/w and multiple exposures in the mkt, and that's huge plus for me already. Others could possibly care less about these two features. Subjective...just like photography. ![]() Last edited by Reflection; 17th March 2005 at 09:53 AM. |

I agree with Reflection, the final rating is just based on "all-rounded" capabilities, it might be well the best camera for some specific area. |

Just a camera. If you think it is good it is good. If you like the pictures from this camera you like it, no need bother about what others said. Yes there are lots of bad points, 20D also got a lot and maybe even more. Just like the Kodak 14n/c, still a great camera for certain uses. Remember FujiFilm is an expert in FILM (thats what I believe) and it excels now in its digital format of film, Sensor. For serious shooter (me?), most of the time you do not use 4fps-8fps.
