Default Sardines

Hi,
Kapoor

I bought a can of sardines to remind myself what it was like in there with the big crowd and even more people trying to get in from outside.

Just kidding.

Oh, on Saturday I was travelling in a taxi along the ECP around 5pm.
The traffic jam to Suntec extended all the way back up to the highest point on the bridge along the ECP. That would be the exit towards Rochore.
The traffic jam backed up 2 kilometers?!!!

But if I was businessman selling the digicameras at the IT Show, wonderful.
Lots of sales.

Hey.. you are rite... it is packed and good for the those with long hand. I kept holding to my waist porch and you guess what happened? It was cut but fortunately I only lost one SD card holder..sigh!
Grapped a few memory cards and was held back to look at the products like Canon 350... no chance to even hold the camera.. too pack too many people.... same at every PC show..... hope that organsier can have the show at bigger place. I am sure many will participate...

Default desperate thieves

Wah, Yappy,

good thing you took precautions.

I thought I was paranoid to hang on to my wallet carefully.

Now you have proven that we were wise not to take chances.

Hey they don't even bother to pickpocket.
Now they use razors to cut straps and bags.

Maybe organised syndicate from China or Vietnam or Malaysia.

Default syndicate

Hi
Bkling1

Yah, you're right.
Nowadays Singaporeans also desperate.
The Tampines case very sad.

No offence to those countries. of course they got lots of good people.

Just that in news reports in the past, they did report on such highly organised pickpocket syndicates from Vietnam. Even from South America once.

Visitors from China of course got all types of goings-on often reported in local news.

And Malaysia, well quite a near trip from JB to here.

I saw people asking for donations for an obscure school in Tibet or something like that. Groups of 3 or 4. The girl pestering the public was highly trained and extremely persistent. Not like a normal charity worker at all. Very very pushy.
I did ask one of them if they were locals. One said yes. And waved his i/c but did not let me look closely. The i/c colour was GAUDY pink, an give-away of a badly done counterfeit.
I did not push the matter as I knew these people have gangster controllers in the background. Don't want to get stabbed in hawker centre.
These 'charity workers' will then get into a van and hit the next targeted area. Highly organised. So was Al Capone. (Chicago Mafia of America long ago)

Of course there are genuine charity workers. The trick is telling the difference.
