Will the above work with the new K3? I am thinking to convert the 16-50 to utilize the screw drive after seeing how fast it AF on my 2 other lenses (12-24 and 55-300).

Really have the urge to convert my sdm lens to non sdm lens after seeing this thread. Anyone with a non sdm/converted 50135 or 1650 ? Can let me have a quick feel how much improvements before I make the decision?

Yes, after conversion the screw driven AF will work w/ all Pentax AF cameras including K3 as well.

Man, this got me thinking as well. Should I do it to both my 16-50 & 50-135?

    Frank,

All we need is a K7, K20/K10 or Kx to convert is it? Am thinking of getting the Kx from my friend so I can get you to help me with the conversion.
