Hi I am a first time user of a digicam
I bought an A40 after going thru alot of sites ( including clubsnap)
I have a few queries

Technical :

1) Wat is the function of filters on a lens?
2) Wat types of filters are there?
3) wats the talk abt 36mm vs 52mm. And wat are step up rings?

Non Technical :

1) Any recommendation for a bag for A40, not a pouch.
2) Recommendation for a tripod. I am 6 feet and dun wanna snoop. budget around 100
3)Which is the cheapest CF 128 MB card?

if u wanna know more about filters u can visit this SITE
this site miss out the close up filter for better micro shots n closing up of images

as for the 36mm n 52 mm adapter for A40......actually is 37mm not 36mm.......u can know more HERE step up ring is just convert yr 37mm adapter to 57mm so that u can use 52mm filters on yr 37mm adapter

u say u need a bag not pouch??hmm.....wat u means buy that??u want it to store yr cam or together with other accessories like the adapter n filters?

correct me if i am wrong

some models are selling in Cathay photo or some other shops..........best u go Cathay photo......i got my pouch from cathay photo at $18 only

Yeah... I got one Lowepro bag for my cp4500 too... a bigger one with more compartments cost $30 from AP... hmmm...
