HELP!!! I was shooting IR and when I want to shoot this candid shot... My CCD gave me this feedback and I was SHOCKED! Thankfully, the next shot and on were alright...

Anyone encountered this?

That will cause vertical or horizontal interference type of banding, but nothing too serious. 300D and other cams also will get the same.

no need to ring. as long as there's phone activities, like SMS or switching network in the area, u will get it. also not neccessarily cause vert or hori banding, can be full frame purple also, depending on circuit design.

mr 2100 is correct. this phone thingy AFFECTS ALL BRANDS & MODELS. u might want to keep the phone away from the cam next time. also dun get too near to the guy next to u who is using his phone.

But I have tried blasting mine with a transceiver with about 2.5watts of RF EIRP (effective isotropic radiated power) just beside the D70, no banding leh. Freq at approx 450MHz UHF. Have yet to try 2.4GHz Wifi. heh...

eh... ESPN still never respond yet... Never pay Starhub for the Cable TV huh... Hehehe...

My D70 is just with me for around a month only... I don't think that it will bust... I just go shoot 24-hours frequently... Long-exposures in night... Long-exposures for IR in the day... Hahaha... Overusage?

i think one of the gates for the green signals somehow did not turn on resulting in that pic. (red + blue = purple) transistors do fail once in a while.

got to check out with those who are more familiar with semiconductors. What's more, D70 uses CCDs. If you know how CCDs work roughly then you will see that if the gates of 1 of the green channels dun function properly you wun get greens at all.

After all this talk, i think it's a software glitch. Somehow the green signals got misplaced somewhere..
