What your budget ?

For a good value all rounder tripod, I recommend Manfrotto 190 ProB.

Want something cheaper with panhead included? Try the Slik Pro 330DX build with A.M.T. Pretty light at 1.7KG (includes panhead) but max weight only 3KG so if you are not going to the 2.8 Aperture long zoom lens this should be fine. Only $130 leh what to say.

Addon:
I got this tripod on my EOS 33 + 70-200F4.0L + 420EX flash, total weight load about 600g + 750g + 400g == 1.8KG+/- and pretty stable. The panhead can be pretty useful too if you met any people wanting to pick a fight with you. Just throw the panhead with it on the tripod at the person's head and see the alu cast panhead see red

Im using Manfrotto 190EK10. 141RC pan head.
So far so good. 2nd hand (though its 10 years but still working as fine)

Check that its around 200 for the brand new at MS Color.

Unless u really 'siao on' to lens. then that pan head is not for u. hehe.. anyway, for me.. just nice.

weight i really dunno, CFM lighter then 055CL. U may wan to go MS and check it out. It slightly smaller then 055 series. But well, more then enuff for me. Not as heavy also

just get the SLIK 500DX

much lighter than the Manfrotto 055 but slightly shorter. but i think for ur height, the 190 shd suffice. and u dun need to fork out money for the ball head if u can live with a pan tilt. go down CP with ur arsenal and test out. approach Dolly or Steven

You need to think far and look far, you want to spend more down the road?

If you're very sure you will be using this setup as your max load, then it's pretty fine, else if you know one day you will own the larger lenses like 70-200VR or 200VR, then you might want to consider investing in a good setup that will last for many years of upgrades.
