PIC - Peripheral Interface Controller. If memory didn't fail me, this is a type of microcontroller. You need to upload that firmware to that chip for that circuit to work. Like I said, if someone can source for the chip and a way to program it (hey, I don't even know how! ) I can probably help make a few pieces.

Sony's big mistake to make the flash so proprietary.

Not so sure, I have not touched electronics for many years already.

    I can, if I have a pre-programmed PIC 16F877.

There's a shop along Peninsula Plaza that sells Nokia's handsfree for $1. You could get stocks from there

Thanks for your info...actually even spoil handsfree also can be used...

i tried plug in my handsfree and see if i can press to button to take picture like remote control....

luckily cannot...else willy will cry now....haha

btw, if i can find the chip in SLT...my friend can program it for me...and then u can start building the circuit already

btw, how much is that slave unit?

once it is completed, you can attach even a studio flash to F707 already?

you would probably need to check out the trigger voltage of the studio lighting first. it'll be expensive to repair the spoilt circuitry inside the F707. an alternative is to use a safe-sync but it costs a lot (>$80).

Yaya.. maybe can even use the mic to say "Snap" to trigger also right...

Also can use as secret trigger... pretend to talk thru the handsfree while clicking away happily...

    Good ideas... dream harder... hehe
