Yo!
I was asking the boat owner to organise another dive trip to Pulau Hantu .. he is suggesting a new place, Pulau Salu (thats how he said to be pronounced la). Says that it is better than Pulau Hantu. Slightly more expensive, but for a 10 person capacity, it is only SGD5 more each. Anybody on? Tentatively... Date: 20 March, Sunday Time: 8am-1pm, or 2pm-7pm He is diving there this weekend, and will come back to tell me more. But we need to book the boat if for next weekend very soon, tak boleh wait until he comes back this weekend .. So, if Pulau Salu not on, then we go Pulau Hantu .. Who is game to try the new place?? Will try to find more info .. those who know about this place, please do post okie... Last edited by beivied; 7th March 2005 at 11:57 PM. |

got this info from the web...
Pulau Salu Location: North of Pulau Sudong Access: By boat Conditions: Dive only when water is calm. Average Visibility: 1.2m (4ft) Maximum Depth: 21m (70ft) This dive site is actually a restricted area for the military to use as an firing ground, so before you dive this area, please find out whether the military is going to use it that day, or you may most probably find yourself in another place and not earth. Pulau Salu's coast consists of many coral formations and is a very good dive spot to dive at. This site also has plentiful of marine life, including sharks, barracudas, and if you are really lucky, you may find yourself swimming with a group of dolphins. Currents here can be quite strong, thus you must be very experienced to dive in this area. |

Me on for either location. I prefer Hantu though as I'd like to add to the Hantu footage with my videocam n 'ziploc' bag.

Me on too. either location, either date, either or both time, don't mind night dive again, any thing also can. In short I have no life and need compress air desperately.
![]() Will be hard act to follow after the last Hantu dives. With fingers crossed, will be another good one. |

ok ok, haha...
we can start a name list pls indicate if you have a preference, or you ONLY want to go either Salu or Hantu. Pulau Salu (may change to Pulau Hantu, depends on tide table, and if got live firing) 20th March 2005, Sunday will confirm morning session or afternoon session with the boat owner as soon as i can 1. beivied 2. siaoon (should be la ) 3. seewhy 4. eel (prefer Hantu) 5. lovells19 6. 8. 9. 10. Anyone on for April? Please put down your name and preferred dates and island from my understanding: 1. fongwee 2. kthan in view of now being open season for malaysia diving, i i was actually thinking to propose payment in advance for those who are interested on the trip. however, since most of us have been doing local diving together pretty often, i take it that we can have a system of trust la hor? if there are last minute backouts, and we are not able to find a replacement in time, full payment still has to be made. ![]() |
