Only UMD movies will be region-coded and will only play on that particular region's PSP. I have seen a demo UMD movie on the PSP, and its pretty impressive. Having said that, I don't think that I will be watching any movies on the PSP, rather prefer to watch on DVD on a big screen (or on notebook when travelling).

Hrmm .. in that case .. buying a japan parallel import set is as good (or as bad) as buying one from the US ... since Japan is region 2, US region 1 and SEA region 3 ...

    *tempted* ...

The demo was at Gamescore in Funan 5th floor. I think it was the trailer for Resident Evil (in Japanese, so I can't confirm, but look very much like Resident Evil).

Wow! Just picked up mine and have been glued to it for the past 24 hours. Despite what some say about its size, I think it's a good combination between portability and screen size. The ergonomics of it are also much more comfortable than previous handheld consoles. I can't wait for more games.

I've got music and pictures on mine, but haven't been able to load video on yet. Has anyone else been able to do this? I heard that mpeg4 should work. I must be missing something. Any tips?

    Thanks in advance.
